On January 13 and 14, 2018, our colleagues at the Los Angeles branch office of WholeRen Education busily hosted our booth at the event for the third year running. At the exhibition, an endless stream of people came to the WholeRen booth to ask questions about education, the services WholeRen provides, and contact information for our team.

Founded in 1982, the Asian American Expo is hosted at the beginning of each year to celebrate the upcoming Lunar Chinese New Year Festival at the Pomona Fairplex. The Asian American Expo was named one of the seven major commercial exhibitions in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2004. Today, after 30 years of development, the event features six large exposition halls and showcases over 1,000 vendors. As the largest overseas Asian commercial exhibition, thousands of people from different countries participate in the Asian American Expo every year. Attendees from the U.S. and abroad, from different ethnic and industry backgrounds, can be found attending or presenting at the Expo. As a means of gathering the local community together to celebrate its heritage and culture, the  Asian American Expo highlights  the essence Chinese culture. Food, shopping, entertainment and fun – these are all annual staples that can be found at each year’s event. All of this success would not be made possible without the support from the greater community both locally and internationally.

Staff not only introduced our brands and our services, but shared the company’s educational philosophy through this exhibition. WholeRen’s presence at the event also allowed colleagues to meet with other organizations and companies to begin conversations about potential partnerships. The L.A. staff were delighted when a former student client (who successfully transferred from a community college to UCLA with the help of WholeRen Education) came by to say hello. With a hug and a smile, she asked if Hailin, her Senior Academic Consultant, remembered her, and with joy she said to our staff: “Thank you so much for helping me transfer to UCLA! I don’t know how to express my sincere gratitude to you!”.

Thanks to the great work of our L.A. Office WholeRen colleagues, the event was a success.  Partnerships and future collaborations were explored, and WholeRen continued to foster its company image as one that is invested in student success.  WholeRen’s long standing presence in the U.S. and Chinese markets, along with its yearly invitation to return to the Asian American Expo, highlight the value that  WholeRen offers to the field of international education.  We are grateful to all our clients, partners and colleagues for their support and trust. In the new year, we plan to continue our endeavors to help more Chinese international students achieve and excel. With new service products and enthusiastic staff, we know 2018 will be a record year for our students and families!
